Illustrophile gets a new look, plus check out the new News!

Welcome to the newly updated Illustrophile!I’ve spent the better part of the day updating Illustrophile, so hope you like the changes!

News: As you can seem the News page has been added back. I’ve been hoping to change it so that people can post up their news after being featured, and I’m hoping that this will now be possible.

HOW DO I POST MY NEWS?

At the moment, I will be creating accounts myself for contributors. The idea is that everyone who is featured on Illustrophile will be eventually get an invitation to post up news to the News section, and possibly have said News featured if it’s interesting enough (can’t promise this as I have to see how the feature thing works with this template).

However, because there are a good few hundred people already featured, and because it’s mainly just me maintaining this site, I can’t send out invitations to everyone right now. Please understand, I’m not getting paid to do this, and I need to attend to my own illustration jobs first.

I REALLY REALLY WANT TO POST MY NEWS

If you really want in on the action, email me at charlene [a] charlenechua.com with the Subject: Illustrophile News. You MUST include your link to your previous feature on Illustrophile. I will be creating some accounts for myself and people I know first. Please note that there may be some bugs as this is all cobbled together with various plugins for Wordpress.

I MADE A POST, HOW COME I DON’T SEE IT ON THE MAIN PAGE?

All posts will have to be approved first, for security. Posts made by users are automatically classified as News and will show up on the News page. Only admins can choose what to make a featured post.
