Inside Counsel

I did this for Inside Counsel magazine with art director Liz Novak. It's for an article about the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005. It was a relatively small illustration and done fairly quickly, so I was squinting a lot while painting it.

I did this painting a bit larger than I usually do (16 x 11") and went for a more painterly approach than usual. I'm using it for a promo item so hopefully it reproduces well. The environment is based on the Queen and Spadina intersection in Toronto, if the buildings were all blue and green.

Commotion

I colored this in Photoshop from a scanned ink drawing. Tried to keep the colors minimal and subdued for this one.
