Michele Melcher has an impressive body of work that includes cartoons, portraits and children’s illustration. Her portraits are particularly neat, and sometimes make their subject matter look better than they do in real life…

French illustrator Leslie Clerc keeps a pretty portfolio filled with her light, airy illustrations. The enterprising lady is also the co-founder of the design studio Forever Young and has her own online shop now.

Dutch designer and illustrator Metin Seven has a site that is full of his work, including several different styles of illustration. His best works, I think, are his photo realistic 3D illustrations, some of which cleverly illustrate the topics at hand.

Jakob Ingvorsen’s work is breathtaking - a combination of illustration, street style and fine art. I can’t decide if his pieces would look better in a independant magazine or on a gallery wall. Whatever the case, the man has style.

John Suarez is finishing up his training in illustration, but his blog already has some pretty good examples of his work, including what must be one of the world’s sexiest anthromorph pictures. He also has portfolio site, although his blog has more examples at the moment.

There’s something eternally appealing about spooky cute artwork. Lisa Evans has a fine collection of her own, pairing moody rabbits, sweet monsters and surreal dreams together. Check out her blog too for new work.

Maybe it’s the cooler weather or something, but I seem to be featuring illustrators with an airy style lately. Today’s feature is Jill Tovey, who specializes in fashion illustrations featuring vibrant, marbled colors against a sea of white.

Samantha Hahn has a collection of beautiful, airy pictures in her book. She is a pattern designer as well as an illustrator, and her portfolio sports some truly gorgeous patterns.
