Outfitted Week 6

29 Aug

Outfitted: week 6, Watercolour on Canson paper

Phoning this one in from my family home in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. It's a little rushed, and I am not completely satisfied with the face and skirt. Working away from the studio is hard!

vintage hat, necklace, and silk blouse: boutique encore, an initiative of the lennoxville & district women's centre
belt: vintage, thrifted
skirt: borrowed from my sister emily, who also took the photos this week
sandals: steve madden

Ingvard the Terrible is now on Storybird

25 Aug

My shop on Storybird is up and running! Right now, I've got 20 images on there, some old, some new (including this handsome rascal, done in anticipation of Halloween), but I have plenty of ideas for more.

Onions for Sept

25 Aug

Here's September's onion drawings for Gardens Illustrated, I'm really pleased with the skin texture and the colours I chose.

This afternoon I'm taking a break from drawing the 15 varieties of squash, pumpkin and courgette for a commission due Friday, and going into London for dinner with a friend. Really excited about catching up, but this POURING rain sucks and is only made appealing by the opportunity to wear my red wellies and use my lovely birdcage umbrella!

Social networking

25 Aug

As well as being able to catch me on Facebook, you can now find me on Twitter! Bearing in mind that im pretty useless at keeping things like this updated and use these social networks more for seeing what everyone else is up to.. so dont expect constant tweets. But if you feel the need to follow along, by all means do. @tombagshaw
