Michael Newhouse

Posted on 26 August 2008 by Charlene

Michael Newhouse specializes in infographic illustrations, particularly maps and diagrams. He does a splendid job at bringing flair to an otherwise boring subject. His logo work is also lovely; be sure to flip through them under the Logos tab.

While  the spotlight is on Mariko Jesse’s excellent map work, it’s true to say she does great work all round. I personally like her Asian food illustrations. Mariko is part of the UK illustrators collective, Monster People.

It takes quite a talent to make infographics beautiful as well as functional, but Swedish illustrator Christina Jonsson does so with apparent ease. Although her website is in Swedish only, she keeps a lovely blog in English, which features more of her sketches and paintings of city landscapes and architecture.
