Permanent Cafe is the somewhat enigmatic creator of these faux-50s paintings. Painted with acrylic and gouache, the art looks like it was lovingly painted from references of old photos, magazines and Sears catalogs.
Holly Dewolf makes lovely little illustration in gouacheĀ and ink. Her uses her whimsical style in various applications, mostly for the children's market.
Australian Cassandra Allen's watercolor and gouache paintingsĀ have appeared in magazines, children's books and even snowboards. As a designer, she does some nice logo work for individuals and boutique companies.
