Joseph Wu wins hands down for ‘illustrator with the most unique technique’. Well ok, perhaps not THE most unique, but not far from it. Joseph uses origami to create paper sculptures for illustration purposes. Amazingly, the frog above is made from just one sheet of paper! If you are in Vancouver BC, drop by Pendulum Gallery to view his work in the Origami Masters exhibition, running till Nov 10.

Ken Orvidas has a huge body of work that is as luxuriant as it is intelligent. His take on concepts are of particular interest, as they get the point across while still standing up as works of art. Ken also does some interesting outdoor abstract sculpture wor, some of which has has displayed on a separate page.

Chris Sickels at Red Nose Studio has a truely unique style of illustrating: he makes his own puppets and sets, and then photographs them. If you really love his work, he also has some of his beautifully surreal puppets for sale – click on the Acquire section of his site for more information.
